Israeli embassies and consulates list a 5 x 5 cm (2 x 2 inch) square photograph on

a plain white background among the standard requirements for entry visa

applications - a square format Israel shares with the United States, but at the

larger 5 cm print size. At 300 DPI that is 591 x 591 pixels, the canvas this tool

exports. The embassy pages do not publish a numeric head-height band, so the

guide lines follow the 70-80 percent ICAO convention used in Israeli consular

practice; keep the head centred with room above the hair and the top of the

shoulders visible. No file-size cap is published, so the preset leaves the limit

off. Shoot face-on in even daylight against a white wall - grey gradient bands

from indoor lighting read as a dirty background on review. Remove glasses unless

they are plain prescription lenses without glare, keep both eyes open, and leave

head coverings off unless worn daily for religious or medical reasons with the

full face from chin to forehead visible. Because Israeli visa applications go

through consular review in person or by courier in most countries, a non-standard

photo means a second trip or a second mailing round - verify the crop here before

printing, and bring two identical copies where the consulate requests them.

Frequently asked questions

What size is an Israel visa photo?

5 x 5 cm square (591 x 591 pixels at 300 DPI) on a plain white background - the same square shape as US visa photos but printed larger.

Can I reuse my US visa photo crop for Israel?

Not directly. Israel's square is 5 cm rather than 5.1 cm, so re-crop from your original photo here at the 591 x 591 preset.

How many photos do I need to bring?

Most Israeli consulates ask for two identical prints attached to or clipped with the application - check your local embassy's checklist.
